Walking The Pipe with Kate Green

Walking The Pipe with Kate Green

Saturday 28th September

Local artist Kate Green is walking the Elan Valley Aqueduct in the summer of 2019. She will be exploring, gathering and sharing stories from places along the length of the 73 mile pipe that supplies Birmingham with water from the Welsh mountains. To celebrate this project we will be hosting Kate and finding out about her adventures and artistic endeavours.

Optional walk for the adventurous 4:30pm - 5:30pm

A stroll to see the pipe architecture around Bleddfa. It is advised to wear stout footwear for for steep and uneven ground along with appropriate attire for the weather conditions. Meeting at the Bleddfa Centre car park. It is not advisable to bring any dogs (except the most well behaved) on the walk as we will be passing through grazing land by kind permission.

Talk, supper and entertainment 6pm

Join Kate with musicians Brackenbury and Neilson for an evening of pipe songs and conversation.

£5 including a Navvy's supper.
