Workshop: Floral Monoprinting
Saturday 29th June
10:30am - 3:30pm
Catherine Wynne-Paton lives in Monmouthshire, and makes prints both from life and photographs, having a particular interest in the poetic nature of plants.
You’ll be introduced to the principles of printmaking through the spontaneous process of mono print. In a relaxed atmosphere, with demonstrations and friendly guidance, you’ll learn three mono-printing techniques, produce a series of unique prints with time to step back, review and improve your own technique.
At the end of the day, you’ll have a new or improved skill and a set of prints of your own.
Bring with you:
An overall / apron and old shirt (we’ll be using water soluble ink, so need to protect clothes, especially long sleeves).
Pencil case with a variety of pens and pencils.
A variety of paper 130gsm and below, such as printer paper, cartridge paper, recycled and Japanese ink paper are all suitable.
A wooden spoon.
£45 for the course. Lunch can be provided for an additional £8. Alternatively, feel free to bring a packed lunch.
