Out of the Wood, into the Orchard!
This week artists have been busy installing the latest exhibtion in the apple orchard here at the Bleddfa Centre.
Out of the Wood is an outdoor exhibition that features the work of 12 artists from all over England and Wales. The premise of the exhibition is a simple one – each participating artist was given a length of birch cordwood to utilize as they felt appropriate after visiting not only the exhibition site but also the source of the donated birch – the nearby Castlering Wood.
The wood for the exhibtion was kindly donated by Knighton Tree Allotments Trust.
The exhibition opens this Saturday 24th August and will be open every day throughout Presteigne Festival (until 29th August inclusive) 11am - 5pm. Beyond this, the Centre will be open every Saturday and Sunday at the same times as well as every day throughout h.Art which is 7th - 15th September.
The participating artists are Sonia E Barrett, Sam Carvosso, Titus Davies, Geraint Edwards, Sharon Hall Shipp, Lisa Hudson. Charlie Hurcombe, Nick Lloyd, Ruth Richmond, Myra Ryan, Philippine Sowerby and Amy Sterly.
So come and visit the Bleddfa Centre and see this inspiring collection of contemporary sculpture. We also have the Parallel Visions exhibition in the School House Gallery plus lots of tasty homemade refreshments available in the Reading Room Café.
