Poetry Breakfast at Bleddfa

Join us at The Bleddfa Centre for a tasty breakfast of croissants and coffee as we gather together to listen to published poems on the theme of ‘Spring, the sweet spring’ on Saturday March 14th at 9.30am. Doors will open at 9.15 for that all important first cup of coffee!

Poetry Breakfast is an informal and relaxed way to experience your poetry, whether you are a confirmed poetry lover already, or were put off in the 5th form by having to study it for O level/GCSE. Whatever your reason for coming, enjoyment is guaranteed as we bring the very best of poetry and share it by simply reading aloud to each other. There are usually plenty who like to read so there is no pressure to perform and listeners are very much wanted too, so don’t be shy about joining us.

The cost is £8 per person, to include your French breakfast and a free coffee refill, and the session lasts an hour. If you can let us know the day before if you are coming, that does help enormously with catering and planning, but if you’re a last minute person, do just turn up; we will be delighted to see you.

Poetry Breakfast was created by Anna Dreda, of Wenlock Books and Wenlock Poetry Festival, and is also held in The Poetry Pharmacy in Bishops Castle on second Wednesdays; at Aardvark Books on third Wednesdays and in Much Wenlock at Tea on the Square on second Thursdays.

Anna’s website is wenlockbooks.co.uk
